    FoxIt Reader comes packaged in an automatic installer, like many modern applications. While installing it, you will have the option of using Default or Custom settings. Use Custom settings if you want to install an additional language or remove other software bundled with the reader. Otherwise, the Default settings are appropriate for most users.

  • Where is the user manual?

Then, place the XML file in the appropriate directory (by default: CProgram Files or Program Files (x86) Foxit SoftwareFoxit Readerlang), open FoxIt Reader, and change to the new language under Preferences.

  • Why can't I highlight text?

    Some PDF files disallow commenting, and by extension highlighting text. Under File -> Properties, you can check Security to see if this is the case. Otherwise, a PDF you are viewing may simply be scanned, with no computerized text that the reader can recognize. You also cannot copy text from PDFs of either type.

  • Why does an error occur when updating FoxIt Reader?

    To update FoxIt Reader, you must remove the previous version. Newer versions cannot install over an existing version. On Windows, this is as simple as removing the software via the Control Panel, then starting installation of the new version again.

  • How do I delete pages in Foxit Reader?

    Foxit Reader is not intended to delete pages by itself. You can remove pages from a document with FoxIt Reader PDF Printer, by removing the pages you do not want and using the Print to PDF function. However, this cannot save form fillable PDFs.
